Step 1: That would be a hybrid implant (like poly is on sisi). a lesser effective halo/nomad-combination. do we need those? get halo or nomad Step 2: whats the point of aux thrusters then? t1 rigs have all the same value to improve your ship (price is always balanced by offer/demand) Step 3: see devblog. already live on sisi Step 4: see devblog. well...mass modules a major reason why you couldn't be hit in a MWD so easily..turrets track on a speed/signature ratio. you formerly could cheat this ratio by having two different modules (overdrive+poly/nano)to simply make the signaturebonus on MWDs less important. Signature Bonus is a fixed value of MWD. By having 6 Modules to improve speed and let the signature at same value, you gained an advantage of MWD that isn't balanced with AB anymore. That was a reason (besides web and tactical issues) why MWD was so important and why AB wasn't considered.
@Patch: I'm glad CCP made a balance solution to make fights in webrange (frigates and cruisers are designed for this range!) possible and effective. I never trained frigate 5 because of this. I went to BS and now kill everything that enters the 13km deadzone and can not compete with my gank/tank (<BS always lose this of cause). After patch there are more tactical possibilities for me, my corp/gang and my beloved enemies. It isn't that simple anymore...i like it.
Drones as a defensive weapon or utility slots get more important. who uses smartbombs/NOS right now? While tracking in webrange is soo much more important and web isn't OMFG-tackle mod, i hope we see a lot of variation in the mid slots. like target painter or tracking disruptors cause they are very useful in webrange combats with different shipclasses.
Too bad I got exams when the patch is aimed to go on tq so I can not be with you

Third option: outtrack blasters/pulse lasers with ACs in close orbit. Even works with ships in the same class.
